This is not a tribute car, as it has no equal. The title to this car is still in dave macdonald's name andthere is no other car on earth that claims to be this car. Part of the original fiberglass will be included withthe sale. The frame has been replaced like most cars that were raced as hard as this one was during that timeperiod. The #4555 sits proudly and was extremely well thought out and assembled. It has no equal on themarketplace for the price and whomever purchases this car will be extremely pleased. Now for the fun description:racing legend dave macdonald had one purpose for vin # e57s104555... He started by drag racing the car andthen moved to something that lasted longer by adding multiple turns ... Dave was a crowd favorite andwas nicknamed the "master of oversteer" for his wide open style of drifting through turns at full speed. He wasrevered for his kind smile, willingness to lend a hand and a foot that stayed buried in the throttle. Vin #4555 isbest remembered as the original "00", where dave began his road-racing career. He raced competitively against otherfamous drivers i. E bob bondurant, tony settember, buford lane, doug hooper, peter culkin & hap richardson. Hisfirst race was at willow springs raceway on february 13-14. In july 1962, zora arkus-duntov selected dave macdonald and dick thompson to test-drive the new 1963corvette sting ray at the general motors proving grounds in milford, michigan. Macdonald was inducted into the2014 class of the national corvette museum's corvette hall of fame. Details conditionmodelyearcolor used corvette 1957 white contact seller.
